Q1: What kinds of sheets can the electric drawer sheet rack store?
It is suitable for all flat panels including steel sheets, stainless steel sheets, aluminum sheets, copper sheets, acrylic sheets, plastic sheets, sheet metal blanks and laser cutting raw materials. Widely applied in sheet metal factories, laser processing plants, hardware workshops, building material warehouses, mold workshops and stainless steel trading warehouses. It can store bundled long, thin and thick sheets horizontally.
Q2: What are the advantages of electric drawer racks compared with traditional cantilever racks?
1. Space-saving aisle: No large turning space for forklifts required. Racks can be placed close to machine tools and columns, improving warehouse utilization by over 50%.
2. Single-person operation: One-click electric drawer extension, sheets can be lifted with vacuum suction cups without manual lifting by multiple workers.
3. Separated storage: Independent drawer for each layer, sheets stored separately without digging through stacks to avoid surface scratches.
4. Stable load capacity: Uniform load support.
Q3: Can single-layer load capacity, layer quantity and overall dimensions be customized?
Fully non-standard customized. Standard single-layer load options: 1/2/3/5 tons; heavy-duty versions up to 8-10 tons available. Layer quantity from 3 to 12 as required. Drawer length and width customized according to maximum sheet size (fits 1.5m/2m/3m/4m/6m long sheets) with adjustable layer height.
Q4: What are the requirements for warehouse floor? Can it be installed on the second floor workshop?
Flat cement floor with bearing capacity matching the total full load of the rack is required. The rack shall be fixed with expansion bolts on the ground floor. For second floor or mezzanine installation, floor load-bearing data shall be provided for our safety load calculation. Reinforcement work is needed before installation if the floor bearing capacity is insufficient.
Q5: What is the minimum aisle width required for operation?
Only sheet length plus 0.8m operating space is needed, no forklift turning aisle required. Matched with overhead crane and vacuum suction cups, 1.8-2.5m wide aisle is enough, much narrower than the 4-5m aisle required for cantilever racks.
Q6: Can the electric rack work during power outages?
Equipped with dual electric & manual crank system. Switch to manual crank to pull drawers out when power cuts off without production delay. Motors with built-in brakes lock drawers automatically to prevent sliding out freely when stopped.
